Product Description
Dry Contact optical transceiver is a fiber optic communication device specially used for transmitting Dry Contact signals (digital signals, such as on/off, open/close). Its core feature is that it uses dry contacts as input/output interfaces to achieve long-distance and high-reliability signal transmission through optical fibers.
It is mainly used in industrial automation, power systems, rail transit and other scenarios to solve the distance limitation, electromagnetic interference (EMI) and ground loop problems in traditional cable transmission.
Principle of operation
1. The transmitter detects the on/off state of the dry contact (e.g. contact closure as “1”, disconnection as “0”).
2. The switching quantity is encoded as light pulse through photoelectric conversion and transmitted to the receiving end via optical fiber.
3. The receiver decodes the optical signal and restores it to the corresponding dry contact output state to control the target device.
